AI governance in practice: Managing risk and building trust As charities increasingly adopt AI tools, strong governance is essential to ensure they are used safely, ethically, and effectively. This session will explore the key risks and responsibilities organisations need to consider, from developing an AI policy and setting clear staff usage guidelines to managing data protection, GDPR, copyright, and intellectual property concerns. Delegates will also examine the challenges of AI-generated misinformation and hallucinations, understand when AI may not be the right solution, and discuss the crucial role trustees play in overseeing AI use. |
