This practical one-day SORP training will provide an overview of the changes to charity reporting requirements, as a result of Charities SORP 2026. Participants will learn the changes to lease accounting and income recognition. The sessions will also cover changes to the Trustees’ Annual Reports, including impact reporting, sustainability disclosures, and reporting on volunteers. In addition, the session will highlight other changes within the new Charities SORP, such as fund accounting, income and expenditure reporting and financial disclosures, helping organisations prepare for their charity reporting requirements.

- Understanding the three SORP tiers and the requirements applying to charities in each tier.
- Information on changes to Lease Accounting and income recognition required as a result of changes to FRS102.
- Practical advice on preparing to implement the revised Trustees’ Annual Reports, including impact, sustainability and volunteer reporting.
- An overview of additional SORP 2026 changes, including changes affecting the reporting of income, expenditure and financial disclosures, fund accounting, and the reporting of restricted, unrestricted and endowment funds, and their implications for charities.
