Online event
This event is free for CFG members.
Most small to medium sized charities run the same exhausting cycle; a campaign goes out, donations spike, then silence falls and the whole process starts from scratch. Every time. The hidden cost of that reset is real but rarely calculated: staff time, supporter fatigue, acquisition spend and the compounding damage of people who gave once and were never brought back.
This session introduces movement marketing, a practical, evidence-based approach that replaces the campaign spike with an ongoing pattern of belief, participation, recognition and re-invitation. Attendees will leave with a completed one-page mini-movement plan for a campaign or programme they already run, a clear understanding of the financial case for doing this differently and a 30-day action plan they can start the following week.
This event will also feature a live Q&A.
Please note that this event, while aimed at finance teams, may also be insightful for those in charge of marketing. As CFG members, any member of your organisation can join CFG at no additional cost, so you may wish to consider signing them up to this event alongside yourself.
Why should I attend?
By the end of the session, attendees will be able to:
-
Articulate the financial cost of the campaign-reset cycle in language that a trustee board can understand
-
Explain the difference between a campaign world and movement world and identify which pattern their organisation is currently running, with recognition to its impact on the finances of a charitable organisation
-
Complete a one-page mini-movement plan for one existing campaign or programme that they already run, covering belief, participation actions, recognition, proof and re-invitation
-
Apply a five-step checklist to one key web page to improve clarity for both human supporters and AI search tools to assist in the changing digital landscape, especially with recognition to organisation/campaign visibility
-
Name the single action they will take in the next 30 days with a realistic commitment of one to two hours per week
